AUTOWEEK Daily Drive 9/8/2015 Fascinating

If AUTOWEEK’s 9/8/2015 edition hasn’t hit your email box yet, go to AUTOWEEK’s website forthwith and check out its feature on old car brochures. Removes all excuses to ever be bored again.

That Daily Drive’s lead feature, the expose on Jaguar’s 2016 Jaguar XF 35t and S AWD first drive, is a disappointment, though. Pass it by. That piece reads like it came from a frustrated romance novelist. It fluttered my credibility warning flags terribly.

But that old car brochure piece is fantastic!

F-TYPE Manual Transmission Has Arrived

The 2016 F-TYPE manual transmission is now within reach.

Available on the F-TYPE and F-TYPE S RWD models with Supercharged V6 engines, this all-new Jaguar system does more than resurrect the manual transmission. It takes it up a notch—delivering a connected, exhilarating driving experience to sports car purists.

  • A custom-designed ZF® manual gearbox features a lightweight aluminum alloy casing and an innovative lubrication system to improve efficiency.
  • Gearbox designs have been optimized to ensure fast, precise shifts.
  • Details like the height of the gear knob have been considered to ensure ideal position for road and track driving.

Call Thom at Jaguar Land Rover Colorado Springs to get behind the wheel of this precision-engineered sports car. Also, ask about the all-new 2016 F-TYPE R Convertible and F-TYPE AWD.

I do not know if you have seen the publicity on this extremely rare Jaguar survivor car, but thought you would enjoy reading about it: Hemmings Article

There is a really interesting video embedded in that article about the documentation on this car. -Gary
